The time has finally arrived for a national competition - introducing Ridgeline of NZ’s Biggest Wild Boar Hunt.
No weaners – only 180lbs or over!
The winner receives $2,500 rrp of Ridgeline clothing and a trophy!
A) This is an annual New Zealand wide competition. It begins January 1st and ends December 31st.
B) The ‘Ridgeline of NZ's Biggest Wild Boar Hunt’ is open to all recognised NZ pighunting clubs and advertised short-term pighunting competitions.
C) To participate pighunting clubs and clubs must register their desire to do so. In the case of short term competitions registration must be at least a week before their competition. Pighunting clubs with an ongoing annual competition can register at any time during the year but it must be at least a week before the boar being taken. A single registration by a club will cover all boars entered by final club for the whole year.
E) All competitions judged by Ridgeline Judging System teams are deemed to be automatically entered.
F) To qualify all boars must be the same metric equivalent of 180lbs or better.
G) The actual entry of individual boars is a simple statement from the club or competition that the boar meets the conditions and rules of the ‘Scheme’. The boar itself does not have to be seen by the organisers.
H) Ongoing results (the names of the hunters and weights of boars) will be advertised in each issue of the New Zealand Pighunter and Morepork magazines plus Ridgeline’s website and facebook pages.
I) The winning boar for the year will be the heaviest boar taken and recorded during the year.
The following rules apply:
